The 2023 Hyundai NEXO Fuel Cell stands apart from the crowd due to its unique hydrogen-powered motors. With two attractive and well-equipped trims and a speedy recharging process, there’s a lot to like about the hydrogen-powered 2023 NEXO.

The Nexo powertrain includes a 95-kW fuel-cell system with a 40-kWk battery pack. Together, they power an electric motor mounted atop the front axle. The system delivers 161 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai only offers the NEXO with front-wheel drive and has yet to address an all-wheel-drive model. Charging the hydrogen fuel cells is quick, taking only five minutes to fill the tank. Once full, the 2023 NEXO Fuel Cell Blue provides 380 miles of emissions-free range.

The two 2023 NEXO Fuel Cell trims have slightly different ranges thanks to their wheel sizes. The heavier 2023 NEXO Fuel Cell Limited has 19-inch wheels and a range of 354 miles, compared to the 380 miles of range on the Blue trim with 17-inch wheels.

Hyundai Safety Sense Suite of Features:

Like the rest of the Hyundai lineup, the 2023 NEXO Fuel Cell is loaded with safety features in the Safety Sense suite. The NEXO Blue and Limited trims have Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Parking Distance Warning – Forward and Reverse, and Rearview Monitor.

The NEXO Limited trim has a few additional safety features that include a Blind-Spot View Monitor BVM, Surround View Monitor, and Premium Remote Start Parking Assist. The Limited trim also has Rain-Sensing Wiper Blades.

What is Remote Smart Parking Assist:

Hyundai includes Remote Smart Parking Assist in the Limited trim. This feature lets drivers use the Smart Key button on the remote to move the NEXO backward and forward without having to enter the car. You can park your car in tight spots without having to worry about safety and damage.

Comfortable and Eco-Friendly Interior Styling:

The 2023 NEXO Fuel Cell has room for five adults. Like other zero-emissions vehicles, the NEXO has eco-friendly seating surfaces. Both trims have Vegan H-Tex upholstery, and the front seats have eight-way power adjustability, heat, and power lumbar support. The Limited trim has ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The NEXO has 60/40 split fold-flat rear seats. The cargo space in the NEXO is 29.6 cubic feet with the rear seats upright and 56.5 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded.

Innovative High-Tech Features:

The NEXO features a 12.3-inch touchscreen with onboard navigation, HD Radio, MP3 Audio, AM/FM, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and two USB ports. A Krell premium audio system is only offered on the Limited trim. Both trims have wireless device charging.

Additional standard tech features include the Hyundai Bluelink® Connected Car System with three complementary years of Connected Care Package, Remote Package, and Guidance Package.
