New 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 Exterior Features

Zero-Emissions All-Electric Driving with Impressive Range
The 2023 Ioniq 5 comes with a standard-range configuration that includes a single electric motor mounted above the rear axle for rear-wheel drive, 168 horsepower, and an EPA-estimated rating of 127/94 MPGe. The 58 kWh battery pack delivers 220 miles of range. The powertrain comes on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE Standard Range trim.
More Horsepower and Longer Range
Hyundai adds more power and battery life to the SE and SEL. The Long Range battery pack delivers 77.4 kWh. With rear-wheel drive, the Ioniq 5 has 225 horsepower, an EPA-estimated rating of 132/98 MPGe, and a range of 303 miles.
Adding the second motor atop the front axle creates an all-wheel-drive experience. The dual motor horsepower increases to 320, while the range drops a bit to 266 miles with an EPA-estimated rating of 113/90 MPGe. The dual-motor configuration is standard on the Limited and available on the SEL trim.

Hyundai Smart Sense Driver-Assistance Technology
All 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 trim levels come with the Hyundai Smart Sense suite of driver-assistive features. All models come with Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, Driver-Attention Monitoring, Rear Parking Sensors, Automatic High-Beam Headlights, and a Rearview Camera.
Drivers who choose the SEL and Limited trims get Front Parking Sensor, and the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited has Park Assist, a Blind-Spot View Monitor, a Surround-View Parking Camera System, and a Head-Up Display.
Remote Smart Parking Assist
Hyundai offers a unique parking technology called Remote Smart Parking Assist. With this available technology, your Hyundai can park itself in a perpendicular or parallel parking spot. You activate the feature with the Smart Key button, even if you aren’t in the car. It will enter the parking space and leave the parking spot, all with the push of a button.
New 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 Interior Features

Comfortable Seating for Five
The all-electric SUV has two rows of seats with space for five. The front and rear seats provide plenty of legroom and headroom – even for tall passengers. The Ioniq 5 has 27.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats upright, and when lowered, the cargo space increases to 59.3 cubic feet. Because the Ioniq 5 does not have an engine, it has a small bit of frunk (front trunk) space with enough room for a charging cable or small bag.
Attractive Upholstery and Comfort Choices
The standard seating in the Ioniq 5 includes cloth upholstery with an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and manually adjustable front passenger seats. All trims have heated front seats.
The SEL trim has synthetic leather upholstery – which is a common choice in eco-friendly electric vehicles. This trim has a heated steering wheel and ambient LED interior lighting. In the Limited trim, the synthetic leather upholstery adds ventilation and the passenger seat gets power adjustability.

Large Entertainment and Information Centers
The standard screens in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 include a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and six speakers. All trims have five USB ports. Hyundai adds Wireless Device Charging to the SEL trim, and the Limited trim gets an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
Speedy Charging Around Cleveland, OH
Drivers don’t worry about long charging breaks with the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5. At a Level 3 DC Fast Charging station, the single-motor, Standard Range Ioniq 5 battery goes from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. The electric vehicle outfitted with the Long Range battery only needs 25 minutes at a DC Fast Charger to add a 70% charge.
Charging with a Level 2 charger is also surprisingly speedy. With the 240-volt outlet, the Ioniq 5 needs six or seven hours to fully charge depending on the trim and battery pack.
